Again this year, the MetaRheinMainChaosDays offer an extensive program<br>
which focuses on data privacy and civil rights.<br>

On the first evening, interested visitors will have the opportunity to<br>
discuss the future of data privacy and informational<br>
self-determination with the Federal Minister of Justice of Germany,<br>
Ms. Brigitte Zypries. For this, padeluun, a well-known privacy<br>
activist, and Dr. Julius Mittenzwei, CCC member and lawyer, will join<br>
Ms. Zypries, radio host Holger Klein will moderate the discussion.<br>
Admission to the debate is free of charge. Afterwards, the rest of the<br>
evening can be enjoyed with cool drinks and summer rhythms.<br>

The discussion is an excellent introduction to the following two-day<br>
conference which takes place in the Piloty building of the Darmstadt<br>
University of Technology. The broad variety of the conference offers<br>
many interesting lectures for visitors interested in politics and<br>
technology. The topics range from latest developments in the field of<br>
encrypted communication over the Internet to ways of avoiding<br>
censorship to socio-political topics.<br>

In addition to the technical part, the mrmcd0×8h will provide plenty<br>
of time for hacker culture, productive talks far off mainstream as<br>
well as a lively exchange of ideas. According to the organizers,<br>
coffee junkies will have nothing to worry about.<br>

The MetaRheinMainChaosDays are scheduled for September 4-6, 2009, at<br>
the Darmstadt University of Technology (TU Darmstadt). Tickets for the<br>

Gleich am ersten Abend versuchen interessierte Gäste zusammen mit<br>
Bundesjustizministerin Brigitte Zypries eine Antwort zu finden, wie<br>
der Datenschutz und die informationelle Selbstbestimmung in Zukunft<br>
aussehen könnten. Dabei diskutiert die Ministerin mit dem bekannten<br>
Datenschutzaktivisten padeluun und dem CCC-Mitglied und Rechtsanwalt<br>
Dr. Julius Mittenzwei. Durch das Gespräch führt der Radiomoderator<br>
Holger Klein. Der Eintritt ist frei. Anschließend kann man bei<br>
kühlen Drinks und sommerlichen Rhythmen den Abend ausklingen lassen.<br>

Die Diskussion ist der ideale Einstieg in die darauf folgende<br>
zweitägige Konferenz im Pilotygebäude der TU Darmstadt. Im breiten<br>
Spektrum der Konferenz finden sich interessante Vorträge für<br>
politisch und technisch interessierte Besucher. Die Themen reichen<br>
dabei von neuesten Entwicklungen im Bereich der verschlüsselten<br>
Kommunikation im Internet, über Zensur-Umgehungsmöglichkeiten bis<br>

wieder genug Freiräume für Hackerkultur, produktive Gespräche<br>
