[hackerspaces] efficient bench usage - what is the proper term for the "clean slide" option?

When I worked in software there was a "clear desk policy" or "clean
desk policy", usually designed to keep confidentiality. The idea was
to make sure papers weren't stacked up but to keep your desk surface
clear of paperwork.

I'm not sure if that fits your concept, but it sounds like you already
have the solution with "clean up after yourself."
