Embossed gold text and graphics on fake leather --
I know of an Artisan Bookbinder in the town where I live who could 
certainly do this.

Real passports -- Mine was just renewed in July, 2010 -- have 
interesting features these days.
Mine says, on page 28:
This document contains sensitive
      electronics. For best performance,
do not bend, perforate or expose
to extreme temperatures.

Anybody know the nature of these "*sensitive electronics*"?
A Hackerspace door key RFID would be one cool application.
Others?
